Friends of Cardiff & Carlsbad State Beaches (FCCSB) is a cooperating non-profit association dedicated to supporting California State Parks campgrounds and beaches in the North County area of San Diego. FCCSB recently become the 87th such cooperating charitable organization known as a "cooperating association." Those organizations collectively create a network that serves most of the 278 state parks in California. FCCSB is a non-profit charitable 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to enhancing the educational and interpretive programs at the campgrounds San Elijo State Beach and South Carlsbad State Beach, as well Ponto, Tamarack and Carlsbad State Beaches. Cooperating associations in California such as FCCSB have more than 27,000 members dedicated to improving California State Parks and raising critical funding for educational and interpretive needs that are otherwise impossible for the state parks to meet. FCCSB was formed on April 1, 2009. It holds monthly board meetings on the Third Wednesday of every month. There are many ways to get involved in FCCSB, from volunteering a bit of your time to donating as little as $35 to become a member. You can also join our board, volunteer a church or school group, or commit funding for a project.
